Can we create different perspectives for sleep?
Sleep is one of the most important concepts of the life cycle.
Quality sleep is very important for our physiological and
psychological health. So are we really sleeping healthy? Or can we sleep more
efficiently with less sleep?
e.g
Leonardo Da Vinci, one of the greatest geniuses of all time, not
only of the Renaissance, He slept 15 minutes for every 4 hours. Thus, he spent
the day sleeping only 1.5 hours in total during the day.
Dymaxion Method: The sleep of the mutated
people! 30 min sleep every 6 hours.This
method is considered one of the most difficult sleep methods. Some people feel
extremely vigorous and productive with this single-phase sleep that lasts 4 hours
at most. People who can be productive with this amazing sleep are actually
different from "ordinary sleepers" People with this mutated gene
called DEC2 can be very vigorous and healthy with very short sleep times due to
this gene. These lucky people correspond to only 1% of the population!
Uberman
(Uberman) Method: 20 minutes of sleep every 4 hours. With this method, you
can complete the day with 2 hours of sleep!
Tesla
Method:
2 hours
night sleep and 20 minutes noon sleep once in the middle of the day. Nikola
Tesla, another prominent genius who has written his name in history, was having
his day with approximately 2.5 hours of sleep!
Simple
citizen (Everyman) Method: 1.5 - 3 hours during the night, 20 minutes 3 times a day.
Siesta: 5 hours night sleep, 1.5 hours noon
sleep. This sleep pattern, which is seen mainly in Spain, Mediterranean and
Latin American countries, is much easier than others. 6.5 hours of sleep can be
quite sufficient.
...These
are the types of sleep seen in the past and today, which I mentioned above.
these applications vary from person to person.
then
let me talk about my siesta method experience which i think is the most
suitable for me.
I
will talk about my one-week siesta experience for you;
I
went to bed every day at 10.00 pm and woke up at 03.00 am.
I
was asleep between 01.30-03.00 pm by setting an alarm at noon. I slept 6.5
hours in total in one day.
it
was very difficult for me to sleep early in the early days and It was very
difficult for me to wake up before the sunrise. I thought that this did not
comply with human physiology, but in the following days I realized that the
time between 03.00-09.00 am was very productive and at the same time, lunch
sleep made me more vigorous during the day. Practicing multiple sleep habits, such
as tesla and leonardo da vinci, can be a bit difficult and may require you to
live a lonely life but I think siesta is a method that everyone can try at
least once. And certainly, when we look at the total, there is a decrease in
the part we devote from life to sleep.would i recommend? Yes. at least you
should try. Moreover, there is a phone application to help you.
what
about other methods? I will also briefly talk about the polyphasic sleep
experience I found on the internet.
Polyphasic
sleep:
4.5 hours and allows you to sleep twice during the day for 20 minutes.
The
views of someone who tried polyphasic sleep were as follows;
I
have a few concerns about my health. I decided to consult Alon Avidan.
He
said that this is a bad decision, most people need at least 7 hours of sleep a
day. The first and second days were especially difficult for me. At the end of
the second day, I could not even exercise my normal functions.
Dr.
Avidan had warned me of short-term side effects. These include slow response
time, memory problems, perception problems, decreased creativity and increased
irritability.
By
the 5th day, things started to get a little strange.
I
was absolutely unable to focus and a constant giggle disease began.
At
the end of the 7th day, I could not stand and collapsed, I had to sleep.
Generally,
can I recommend this experience? No way. It may be a suitable method for people
who can genetically endure insomnia.
But
for the rest, 7-8 hours is absolutely necessary.
The decision is yours. Is the way you know best? Or is it worth
trying?
